Most students at EHS have heard of Snapchat, but if you haven’t, here’s a quick rundown. After creating a username and adding friends, you can take a picture and send it to someone. Here’s the catch: you set the time the person can view the picture, once the time is up, it’s gone forever. You can choose between one to ten seconds. This app is most commonly used for taking embarrassing selfies and not worrying about them being seen by anyone besides the friend you sent the picture to.
In order to make the most of this app, you should know a few things. If you click on the pen button in the upper right corner after taking a picture, you can pick a color and draw or write on your image. If you click on the image itself, you can type a few words too. Some people may think that they can beat the app by screenshotting the image. However, if you take screenshot of a picture, the app will notify the person who sent the picture. Screenshots usually backfire on you, many people consider it “cheating” and won’t send you snaps anymore. Prepare to die of laughter at the unattractive faces you and your friends are capable of making.
