Welcome and House Tours
Welcome to rush! Your first intro to Greek row is through house tours, where you get the opportunity to view all the chapters’ living facilities. Many schools have carried out the process virtually since the pandemic, but assuming the tours are in-person, refer to these items.
Items to have:
- athletic tank top
- athletic skirt
- water bottle
- comfy shoes

Sisterhood
In sisterhood, yourself and other potential new members (or “PNM”s) are given the opportunity to dive deeper into sororities you indicated interest in and vice versa. Get ready to chat with sisters, about their sorority, and about yourself. Be packed and ready for a day on your feet; casual is alright, but appear put together.
Items to have:
- short sundress
- tote bag
- portable charger

Philanthropy
In the busyness of rush, philanthropy is a welcome change of speed. Sororities will present to PNMs about their chapter’s philanthropic efforts, usually highlighting a specific cause. The day tends to involve less movement, but still a need for comfort. Today’s info is important; be sure to bring a notebook.
Items to have:
- cute and casual shoes
- notebook
- shorts (to wear with your new Panhellenic t-shirt!)

Preference
Preference is a lot like sisterhood, only stepped up. PNMs pay final visits to one or two top chapters before making their final rankings. The preference uniform mirrors sisterhood, just more formal. Keep in mind this the last time you will see a chapter before you rank them, and this is the last time they will see you before they make their picks.
Items to have:
- nicer sundress
- platform sandals
- jewelry

Bid Day
Though practices vary from school to school, Bid Day sees all PNMs coming together to find out which house they matched with. Upon the opening of the decision envelope, it’s practice at many schools to “run home” to your new chapter. Clear space in your closet for your new Greek letter t-shirt and other assorted swag.
Items you will receive:
- your new Greek letter t-shirt!
