Boys’ Track and Field
Boys’ Track and Field had their first meet on April 2, in which they finished in second after competing with several high schools across the state. Additionally, they will attend a conference relay at Hopkins High School on April 10 where they will face multiple high schools.
Girls’ Track and Field
The first meet of the season on March 29 was cancelled due to weather. The meet was a coed dual meet as it was for girls’ and boys’ varsity and junior varsity track, taking place at Maple Grove.
Badminton
On March 24, Edina Badminton had their first game of the season. It was an away game against Como Park, and Edina won 4–3. The matches were neck-and-neck, but they performed extremely well in varsity doubles. They also just finished playing the home opener against Wayzata’s team, which was created this year. They won 7–0.
Boys’ Tennis
Edina Boys’ Tennis tryouts took place the week of March 23. They had their first scrimmage against Saint Thomas Academy home at the Creek Valley Elementary School Paulsen courts on March 31. On April 1, they won their first official home match against Benilde-Saint Margaret 7–0 at the same location.
Boys’ Volleyball
Following tryouts that took place on March 23 and 24, the Varsity Boys’ Edina Volleyball team played their first match away at Eagan and won 15–8. They played a secondary match against Wayzata on April 7.
Baseball
Varsity has their first scrimmage against Saint Thomas Academy on April 4. Edina Baseball’s first formal game took place on April 8, where they faced off against Minnetonka High School. They will play their first home game on April 10 at Braemar Field #1, where they will play Saint Michael-Albertville.
Softball
As of March 27, Edina Softball was in week two of the season, meaning they completed their tryouts and team selection before spring break and began official practices. All practices take place at the Braemar Golf Dome from 6 a.m.–8 a.m.
