A Day in the Life of a Zephyrite

Find out about what it is like to be a Zephyrus staff member.

Everyone knows Zephyrus is responsible for the monthly newspaper that gets passed around at EHS. But in reality, it’s much more. There are online articles and blogs posted weekly on edinazephyrus.com, and the occasional video. One might ask, what about the rest of the time? Well let me tell you.

Every day is filled with its own excitement. For example, one day Matt Dulas brought tripe sushi to class. He brought chopsticks and everything. One Clare Ling was eyeing his food and attempted many shenanigans in order to obtain named sushi. Dulas was going to offer some to Ling, but his chopstick skills were so atrocious that he ended up throwing sushi everywhere around the room. Ling was not able to catch it with her catlike reflexes.

Meanwhile, Griffin Thompson, Micah Osler, and Alexi Diem scroll through Twitter and consider starting an “@EdinaSquirrelProblems” account. Tanner Sparrow yells a lot, especially at sophomores. In the corner, Jack Hultstrand is wearing a backwards mesh snapback hat as he edits drafts for the next issue. The sophomore girls are working studiously, while the sophomore boys keep drinking a lot of water.

Now this is just one day. Often times, especially the weeks around distributing the paper, we are busy bees at work. And other days we discuss ideas for articles or discuss previous issues. Every day is a unique experience and it is never boring. Join Zephyrus!
