Girls’ Hockey is fighting extra hard this season to defend their state title.
Edina Dance team: Kicking the year off right
EHS Girls’ Dance team season started on Nov. 21, kicking the first conference off with a jazz meet at Wayzata High School. The team has two main categories of conferences: jazz and kick. The 2024–25 captains this year are seniors Rozlyn Lippert, Kate Bishop, Sylvie Burt, and Sienna Nooleen. The head coach is Kristin Biwan and the assistant coach is Etta Winje. This competitive season allows the dancers to focus on new skills, teamwork, and hope for many team wins.
The Alpine team: Sliding into the season
The Edina Alpine Ski team season has just begun this winter; while not yet having a race, they have practiced with gates at Highland Hills Mondays through Thursdays. In addition, they practice on dry land to prepare for their upcoming season. They are led by Varsity Head Coach Jared Scribner and Assistant Coach Tom Hanske. The first race is set for Tuesday, Dec. 17. The Edina Alpine team allows the skiers to focus on building competitiveness, teamwork, and—hopefully—many wins.
