With winter break on the horizon, it’s time for us students to put down the homework and start celebrating winter! What easier way to do that than by building your very own mini-you (in snowman form of course). Here are a few basic steps to help you create the most perfect snowman ever.
- Find the wet snow. And there will eventually be snow. Really, there will be. And no, not the yellow wet snow – in fact, stay away from that. Find the snow that clumps together, and make sure there’s plenty of it.
- Next start forming that snow into a perfectly shaped sphere. Then roll that around in the snow until it becomes very big. About the size of an exercise ball.
- Repeat step 2 two times, making each ball a little smaller than the first.
- Place ball two on top of ball one, and ball three on the very top of that.
- Pack some extra snow around the creases to make sure he’s steady.
- Now it’s time to decorate. Gather the following items: 2 small buttons, 1 carrot, 1 banana, yarn, 2 sticks, 3 large buttons, 1 scarf.
- Use the small buttons as eyes, the carrot as a nose, and the banana as a mouth. Cut strings of yarn and press them into his head for hair. Stick both sticks into ball two as arms. Place the three buttons vertically down ball two. Add a scarf to accessorize.
- Feel free to add any personal touches to make this little Frosty feel more like a friend.
- If you’re feeling ambitious, spend the rest of the day completing his family. It will definitely make your front yard stand out!
