Edina Hockey T-Shirts: All Ready To Go
It’s that time of year again! Edina Boys’ Hockey has advanced to the State Tournament, and Edina 212 Leadership is selling this year’s State t-shirt. They were doing a pre-sale this week during all three lunches to make sure everyone has a chance to get a shirt.
“We wanted to make sure the high schoolers got first dibs,” said senior Alex Davis. They’re selling the shirts at the middle schools too, and they sell quick.
The shirts will cost $15, and all profits will go towards clubs at the school. They’re expected to arrive this weekend.
As for the design of the shirt, this year they’re going for a more retro look, with an “old school” hornet on the front. “This year it says Edina nowhere on the shirt, only Hornets, because people see Hornets and the green color and they know who we are,” said Davis.
This year, 212 worked with Gemini, the company manufacturing the shirts, and Gemini offered a bigger selection of fonts and layouts for them.
The shirts list the years of all eleven Edina championship wins, including 2013 in a larger font to flaunt last year’s victory.
“We hope to sell them at Braemar and Jerry’s, but we haven’t talked to them yet,” said Davis.
The shirts will go fast, so buy them as soon as you can, especially before Edina’s first game at the Xcel Energy Center this Thursday.
Go Hornets!
