Alex Van Gorp, Ad Manager and Online News and Opinion Editor
Alex Van Gorp is the advertising manager as well as an online news/opinion editor for Zephyrus. Serving his second and final year of service to the Edina news machine, Alex hopes to make it one nobody will ever forget. When not interviewing, writing, or selling ads, Alex utilizes every spare moment to mold, shave, and wax himself into Ryan Gosling. As last year’s recipient of the “Ryan Gosling Award”, an almost unattainable achievement, these habits are not only necessary but expected. This year Alex has set his sights on the “George Clooney/Brad Pitt Award”, in an attempt to show his softer side and compassion for everyone. To reach his goal, Alex plans on working alongside puppies dressed as kittens in the newsroom. Alex’s favorite color is Green, favorite animal a unicorn, and if he could have dinner with anyone it would be Helen Keller.
