With the growing popularity of the Yogurt Lab on Lake Calhoun, a new location is in the making. Fortunately for Edina High School students, this one is located close by, on 50th & France. On the website and app “Yelp,” many Minnesotans expressed their happiness and positive feedback for the business in Minneapolis. One fan exclaimed, “Finally! Minneapolis has a frozen yogurt place. The yogurt flavors are wonderful and the toppings are plentiful and inventive.”
The Yogurt Lab on Lake Calhoun has been a popular place for Edina High School students lately and now that there will be a new option, some are happier. Junior Melody Huttner said, “I go to Yogurt Lab a lot in the summer and now there is one closer by. It’s way more convenient.”
Although the scenery may be nicer on Lake Calhoun, it’s also not as safe a location for students. Senior Gina Diaz explained, “Me and my friend were followed by a car while walking around the lake.” Since Calhoun is outside the bubble, students have to be more aware of more dangerous situations.
The Yogurt Lab will open in Edina in mid-July. It will be across from the TCF Bank on 5007 France Ave South Edina, MN 55410 and will be taking the place of an older building. It will be an exciting new place for students to be, and Sophomore Kara Gratzek looks forward to “[her] mango flavored yogurt and also discovering what’s best on the periodic table of flavors.” Check out Yogurt Lab soon and study up on the flavors at: http://yogurtlabs.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/flavors2.png.
