Edina High School’s production of Heathers: The Musical is set to open this weekend. While it is clear that the cast and crew are quite talented and have a passion for their work, Heathers itself deals with significant issues that have the potential to deeply affect audiences.

Please be aware that the show contains both discussions as well as extremely graphic depictions of suicide, bullying, gun violence, murder, sexual assault, and homophobia.

This is not, by any means, a campaign against the show. Rather, it is intended simply to educate those interested in attending on the types of substantial topics that will be presented during the performance.
