Principal Paul Paetzel wants to maintain five standards while pursuing future goals at EHS; he plans to focus on safety, school culture, relevance, engagement, and challenging the community to grow.
Zephyrus: What projects are you working on to fulfill these goals?
P.P.: Right now, I am working with a group of people, Aditi [Jha] and Harrison [Eyngorn]. They came to me with this proposal around, ‘How do we connect all the different student unions that are out there?’ …We landed on this idea of Mosaic. We want to bring [Mosaic] back with a new perspective but at the same time honor the original intent of Mosaic, which is bringing about all types of people [together].
Z.: What role are you playing in this project?
P.P.: My role is to, number one, hear about their idea. They brought it through different people, the City of Edina, the Edina Police Department…I kind of facilitated this initial meeting…So then I went and found all the clubs or unions and then we established a few goals. So, my role as an administrator is to kind of orchestrate those things and provide the space for it, and make sure that it’s aligned with everything that we want to do within the district.
