Five Individuals Found on EHS Campus with Marijuana and Gun
Edina Public Schools released a statement to students and staff at the beginning of fifth hour on Thursday, Oct. 2 regarding five people that were found on the Edina High School campus this morning exhibiting suspicious behavior. One of the five people was identified as a current EHS student.
According to the statement, four of the five individuals were cooperating with authorities, but one of the individuals, not the EHS student, ran from the scene. It is also confirmed that this individual ran to the track field area on campus, where he was apprehended.
The statement confirmed that these individuals were in possession of marijuana, and that a revolver was found on the individual who ran off.
Edina Public Schools said they are “disappointed”, and emphasized that the possession of illegal substances is prohibited on the EHS campus. EHS Principal Dr. Bruce Locklear said that this is “not who we are at Edina High School”.

This is crazy that such a thing would happen at EHS. It is very nice to hear, however, that this was handled by authorities and that nobody was hurt in the act.
