Fundraising at Edina
Edina High School offers incredible athletics opportunities and activities that enrich students’ school experiences. These organizations count on funding and community contributions to allow them to keep doing what they do best. Here are some ways to give back:
- Youth Serving Youth is raising money for Trick or Treat for UNICEF through collection boxes in classrooms. The winning homeroom will get candy bars, so help break last year’s record of $1,000 by contributing to this spooktacular fundraiser.
- On Nov. 11, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., the Chipotle on York Avenue in Edina will donate 50% of proceeds to the Edina Girls’ Hockey Team if you mention them. You can support the Girls’ Hockey Team by simply telling the Chipotle staff that you are! It can’t get easier or tastier.
- On Nov. 16, from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., the Latin Club will be holding its annual Barnes and Noble Book Fair at Barnes and Noble in the Galleria. At the book fair, EHS Latin students will personally wrap your gifts at the upstairs register and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., some will even don togas and host storytelling and face-painting in the children’s area. Can’t make it to the book fair? You can still support the Latin Club by visiting BN.com/bookfairs from Nov. 16-21 and entering book fair ID 11192093 at checkout.
- The Edina Nordic Team is having a coffee fundraiser! In order to help defray costs including additional team coaches, meet transportation, and ski waxing supplies, the Nordic Team is selling whole bean coffee grown and harvested in Guatemala and roasted fresh less than seven days prior to arrival. Coffee makes a perfect gift for friends, family, and yourself! To pick up an order form, visit the Edina Nordic website at http://www.edinaschools.org/nordicski.
- EHS Student Council will be raising donations for 360 Communities’ Armful of Love Holiday Gift Drive in order to provide holiday gifts to underprivileged families. Starting the week after Thanksgiving Break, they will be collecting money in homerooms and at various athletic events. As if you didn’t already have enough reasons to spread some holiday cheer to families in need, the homeroom that raises the most money will win a surprise gift!
- Images, the EHS literary arts magazine published in the spring, is selling Kool-Aid at lunch to help pay for its printing costs. Students have to raise all the money for the magazine’s publication. Images is such an awesome way to check out the work of our talented students and you make it possible.
Some additional ways you can contribute…
- Edina middle schools are currently selling protective sleeves and skins as a fundraiser for the schools. The purchasing window for this current store will be closing very soon, but will be reopening from Nov. 15 – Dec. 2 to be available for holiday purchases. Instructional Technology Specialist Mr. Timothy Berndt is helping with this effort, which they hope to bring as a fundraiser to the high school. Money raised will go to each schools’ general fund.
- The wrestling team is selling lawn bags at $10 a bundle. Interested? Contact coach Burhans at [email protected].

I love how all these programs and sports fit a fundraiser into their busy schedule. This really helps out the community and gets everybody to work together even more.

We should all participate in the fundraising opportunities for the school. Everyone should stop by Davanni’s on December 3rd to support Edina Senior Party.
