Ten Things You Didn’t Know About Sra. Trenda

1. I live with my husband, Robb, and our two daughters, Lydia (five-and-a-half years) and Gracia (two-and-a-half years).

2. I grew up in Shoreview, Minnesota, and graduated from Mounds View High School.  One of my buddies in middle school was none other than Mr. Sanger.

3. This is my thirteenth year teaching Spanish and I have been in the Edina school district the whole time.

4. Teaching runs in the family. My mom taught English, my dad taught math, my stepmom taught business, and my husband teaches 6th grade.

5. My goal is to read a book a week. My recent favorites are “Wonder,” “Tell the Wolves I’m Home,” and any of the John Green novels.

6. I can do a mean push-up (just ask my fifth hour class).

7. If I could have any job, I would be an actress. For now, I will settle for the classroom.

8. I love to travel and have been to four continents. My favorite places were Argentina, Tanzania, Mexico, Spain, Hungary, and the Czech Republic.

9. My biggest pet peeve in the classroom is when students ask questions about something that I JUST explained.

10. I wish I could eat Indian or Mexican food every day.
