Ahh- stars on the red carpet, smiling in beautiful gowns and tuxedos. It’s award-season again! And what better way to start it all off with the Emmys? New shows are starting, and returning shows are becoming even more hilarious! Let’s see who we should award and for what.
According to senior Nathalie Manker, Zooey Deschanel will win best lead actress in a comedy series for “New Girl.” Senior Allison Knutson begs to differ. “Melissa McCarthy from “Mike & Molly” [will win] because I love that show.”
The girls agreed on one thing though: the best overall comedy series is definitely the Big Bang Theory, which is starting its sixth season September 27th!
Knutson believes Louie CK will win the best lead actor in a comedy series for his comedy-drama television series, “Louie”. Manker, on the other hand, without a pause answered that Alec Baldwin of 30 Rock will be the winner.
While Allison Knutson is voting for “the Colbert Report” for the best variety series, it’s no doubt that it will be racing for first place against Saturday Night Live, whom Manker believes will win.
