Why are you running for Student Council?

I am running for Student Council because of the amazing opportunities it offers. Being on Student Council this year has shown me all of the different ways to get involved with the school and the students. I am running for Student Council to be able to represent all the students to try to improve our school.

What do you plan to do if elected?

If I get elected on the Council I plan to try to include everyone on all the events we plan. Student Council is one of those classes where, what you put into it, is what you get out of it. I plan to be a large contributor to my group, to help plan the different events, and I plan to contribute many different ideas for each event. I hope to bring a different perspective to the council, when we are trying to decide ways to improve the school, or what ways we can get more involved with everyone in the school.

I am running for Student Council because I have had the privilege of being respected as one of the leaders of my class, and through the years I have been finding ways to apply my leadership skills properly and productively. Student Council is the perfect place to do just that. With being on Student Council these past few years, I have been able to take my skills and strengths to a group of 24 other individuals who have their own distinct traits. Together, we can accomplish anything we focus on. What do you plan to do if elected?

If I am re-elected, I want to continue finding ways to make sure that every student at EHS is represented fairly. I don’t want students to feel left out, and I want to ensure the most enjoyable and satisfying experience that Student Council can give to the students. I want to focus more on Student Council’s political value, by working more with the school administration and staff to solve our school’s issues. Being on it these past years have had no negative aspects – I’ve loved every class period and every event I’ve helped to plan. After serving with such a fun and hard working team, it’s difficult to imagine backing out! I’ve also learned a lot about what it means to be a leader and how to execute as a team, and would want to be on Student Council again to further develop these skills. I want to serve another year to make our school a more enjoyable place (sorry for the cliché), which I’ve found isn’t hard if you’re working with the right people.
