Zephyrus: What activities are you involved in?
Sophie Shuster: I am an alpine skier, on a club team and on highschool, I play ultimate [frisbee] in the spring, I’m on 212, and I am on DECA.
Z: What has been your favorite high school memory?
SS: I love going to state with my [alpine skiing] team every year—that’s always fun. We all travel as a team even if just one person is going as an individual, so even if we don’t make it to state, we still go to it.
Z: What is your favorite zoo animal?
SS: It is probably an alpaca because they are just so cute, they look so funny, and their tongue is always out.
Z: What is your go-to dance-move?
SS: Probably just jumping.
Z: What does being on homecoming court mean to you?
SS: Every other year I would probably answer something different, but this year, it is a sense of a normal year and consistency in a year that we haven’t really gotten everything that we expected to. That has been really meaningful and I’m really grateful to be on court.
