Burgers

Let’s take a second to rant about one thing: burgers. I’m pretty sure everyone on the planet loves ‘em. “But wait, Sarah…you’re vegetarian?!?!?” Yes. You are correct. However, eating good veggie burgers is basically the same experience for me. So what is this blog even about? My frustrations with restaurants.

I know that I’m lucky, because ten years ago the question, “what are tasty veggie burgers?” wouldn’t have an answer. However, I just can’t even handle places that don’t serve any veggie burgers. It’s a struggle when all you want is a “burger” but they’re only made with meat. What’s even worse are the places that have all these amazing burger choices and topping combos and then your eyes scan to “veggie burger!” but you sink inwardly and slowly when you read the description and it’s something like: “black bean patty with lettuce.” BORING. Meat eaters should not have all the fun! Why does this outrage exist?!

It simply isn’t fair. I think there needs to be a law written that saves myself and fellow vegetarians from this horrible insanity that consumes our faux-meat needs. As of right now in my life, Red Robin is the only place that allows all burgers to be made with a veggie patty. And how hard is that anyway? Just put all the toppings on a different vehicle inside a bun. I don’t think I’m being outrageous or asking too much, I really don’t. And I’m pretty sure that if I were to watch you read this, you would be nodding and agreeing with me out loud.
